One-Time Password (OTP)

definition

What is a One-Time Password (OTP)?

A One-Time Password (OTP) is a temporary, unique code used to verify a user’s identity during login, transactions, or other secure actions. Unlike regular passwords, OTPs expire after a short period or after a single use, making them a highly secure way to protect accounts and sensitive information. OTPs are commonly sent via text message, email, or an authentication app.
